Meshy v7 Multi-Image-to 3D API by MESHY

meshy-v7/multi-image-to-3d
Multi-image-to-3d

Meshy v7 Multi-Image-to-3D reconstructs one textured 3D model from up to four views of the same object, so the sides and back follow your reference instead of being inferred. Supports independent multi-view texture references and PBR maps up to 8K.

Meshy v7 Multi-Image-to 3D is developed by a third-party provider. Atlas Cloud (operated by Atlas Cloud AI LLC) provides access to it and does not own it. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Meshy 7 Multi-Image-to-3D

Meshy 7 Multi-Image-to-3D reconstructs one textured 3D model from up to four photographs of the same object. Where a single image forces the model to invent the sides and back, several views let it read them — so the parts of an object that a camera can see are the parts that come out right.

Why Choose This?

  • The back is no longer a guess — feed front, side and rear views and the reconstruction follows your reference rather than a prior.
  • Texture references of their own — texture_images guides the surface independently of the geometry inputs.
  • One call, one model — geometry and PBR textures in the same task.
  • Polygon budgets you control — an exact face count, an adaptive decimation level, or the raw high-detail mesh.
  • Review before you download — optional four-angle preview renders and a transparent-background thumbnail.

Parameters

ParameterRequiredDescription
modelYesmeshy-v7/multi-image-to-3d
reference_imagesYes1–4 images of the same object from different angles. Each: public URL, base64 data URI, or asset://<ASSET_ID>. jpg/jpeg/png. The first image is the front view.
ultra_modeNoFiner surface detail. Slower, +5 credits. Default: false
should_textureNoGenerate textures. Default: true; false returns a bare mesh for less.
enable_pbrNoAlso produce metallic / roughness / normal maps. Default: false
texture_resolutionNo2k (default), 4k, or 8k.
texture_promptNoDescribe the surface material, up to 800 characters.
texture_imageNoA single reference image for the texture.
texture_imagesNo1–4 multi-view texture references. Cannot be combined with texture_image or texture_prompt.
image_enhancementNoPre-process the inputs for a better reconstruction. Default: true
remove_lightingNoStrip baked highlights and shadows. Supported on Meshy 7 for multi-image input. Default: true
should_remeshNoRun the remesh phase. Default: false — leave it off for the best mesh.
topologyNotriangle (default) or quad. Requires should_remesh.
target_polycountNoFace count, 100–300000. Default: 30000. Requires should_remesh.
decimation_modeNoAdaptive polycount level 1–4 (ultra → low). Requires should_remesh; overrides target_polycount.
save_pre_remeshed_modelNoAlso return the GLB from before the remesh. Requires should_remesh. Default: false
pose_modeNoa-pose, t-pose, or empty for no forced pose.
target_formatsNoAny of glb, obj, fbx, stl, usdz, 3mf. Default: ["glb"]
auto_sizeNoScale the model to an AI-estimated real-world height. Default: false
origin_atNobottom (default) or center, when auto_size is on.
alpha_thumbnailNoAlso render a transparent-background preview. Default: false
multi_view_thumbnailsNoAlso render right / back / left previews (+~3s). Default: false
moderationNoScreen every source image and the texture prompt before generating. Default: false

target_formats defaults to GLB alone rather than every format: each extra format is another file to generate and store, so ask for OBJ/FBX/STL/USDZ/3MF only when your pipeline needs them.

topology, target_polycount and decimation_mode only take effect when should_remesh is on — they configure the remesh phase, so with remeshing off they are ignored upstream.

How to Use

curl -X POST "https://api.atlascloud.ai/api/v1/model/generateImage" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $AIP_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ --data-raw '{ "model": "meshy-v7/multi-image-to-3d", "reference_images": [ "https://static.atlascloud.ai/media/images/chair_front.png", "https://static.atlascloud.ai/media/images/chair_side.png", "https://static.atlascloud.ai/media/images/chair_back.png" ], "should_texture": true, "enable_pbr": true, "texture_resolution": "4k", "target_formats": ["glb"] }'

Generation is asynchronous — poll /api/v1/model/prediction/{request_id} until status is completed, then read the model URLs from outputs. files gives the same URLs with their format and MIME type, and thumbnail is a rendered preview image.

Pricing

Billed per request, in Meshy credits:

ConfigurationCredits
Mesh only (should_texture: false)20
Mesh + texture at 2k / 4k30
Mesh + texture at 8k35
ultra_mode+5 on top of the above

The price is per request, not per input image — four views cost the same as one. Failed tasks are not charged.

Best Use Cases

  • Product digitisation — the standard four-angle product shoot converts directly into a 3D listing asset.
  • Furniture and hard goods — objects whose back and underside matter to the buyer.
  • Museum and archive pieces — reconstruct from existing photography without a scanner.
  • Characters and figures — front/side/back reference sheets are exactly what this mode wants.
  • 3D printing — target_formats: ["stl", "3mf"] plus auto_size for a physically-scaled print.

Pro Tips

  • Order matters for the first image only — put the front view first; the rest can be in any order.
  • Keep the object identical across shots: same lighting, same finish, same configuration. Contradictory views produce a muddled mesh.
  • Front / side / back beats four near-identical three-quarter angles. Coverage is what buys accuracy, not count.
  • Use texture_images when the geometry references are clean studio shots but the material should come from detail photography.
  • Turn image_enhancement off when your inputs are already clean renders and you need them reproduced exactly.
  • One good view often beats four mediocre ones — if the extra angles are blurry or inconsistent, drop them.

Notes

  • reference_images accepts between 1 and 4 images; more are rejected.
  • Supported input formats are jpg, jpeg and png; other formats are rejected upstream.
  • texture_resolution must be spelled exactly as documented (lowercase 2k / 4k / 8k): a request is rejected rather than silently priced at a different rate.
  • texture_images requires Meshy 7 and cannot be combined with texture_image or texture_prompt.
  • enable_pbr requires should_texture: true.
  • model_type is not exposed on the Meshy V7 models: smart-topology needs the Smart Topology family (ai_model meshy-t2), which these models do not serve, and the multi-image endpoint has no variants at all.
  • symmetry_mode and is_a_t_pose are deprecated upstream and are not exposed here; use pose_mode for poses.
  • Generated files are re-hosted on AtlasCloud storage, so the URLs you receive are ours and stay reachable — Meshy itself deletes API assets after a few days.
