## Use this model from an AI agent

Atlas Cloud ships three first-party integration surfaces. All three authenticate
with the same API key via the `ATLASCLOUD_API_KEY` environment variable.

### MCP server

The official MCP server (`atlascloud-mcp`) exposes this model to any
MCP-compatible host — Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Goose,
Claude Desktop. One-line install:

```bash
# Claude Code
claude mcp add atlascloud -- npx -y atlascloud-mcp
# OpenAI Codex CLI
codex mcp add atlascloud -- npx -y atlascloud-mcp
# Gemini CLI
gemini mcp add atlascloud -- npx -y atlascloud-mcp
export ATLASCLOUD_API_KEY="your-api-key"
```

Then ask in plain English; the agent calls `atlas_generate_image` with `model: "openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst/edit"`.
The server fetches each model's schema and validates parameters before submitting,
so invalid requests fail fast without spending credits.

### Agent Skills

`atlas-cloud-skills` is a portable skill package (API reference, code templates in
Python / Node.js / cURL, model IDs with pricing) for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and
12+ other agents:

```bash
npx skills add AtlasCloudAI/atlas-cloud-skills
export ATLASCLOUD_API_KEY="your-api-key"
```

Skills docs: https://www.atlascloud.ai/docs/skills

### CLI

The `atlas` binary runs Atlas Cloud from a terminal or CI script. Async media jobs
are polled and downloaded automatically (use `--no-download` when a script only
needs the output URLs):

```bash
# Install (Homebrew, npm, or shell installer)
brew install AtlasCloudAI/tap/atlascloud
# npm install -g atlascloud-cli
# curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AtlasCloudAI/cli/main/install.sh | sh
atlas auth login
atlas generate image openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst/edit -p "Your prompt here"
```

CLI docs: https://www.atlascloud.ai/docs/cli

## HTTP API reference

- **Submit endpoint (POST)**: `https://api.atlascloud.ai/api/v1/model/generateImage` — start an async generation; returns a `prediction_id`
- **Poll endpoint (GET)**: `https://api.atlascloud.ai/api/v1/model/prediction/{prediction_id}` — poll this until the prediction finishes
- **Model ID**: `openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst/edit`

## API Information

This model can be used via our HTTP API or more conveniently via our client libraries.
See the input and output schema below, as well as the usage examples.

### Input Schema

The API accepts the following input parameters:

- **`model`** (`string`, _required_):
  Model name.
  - Default: `"openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst/edit"`
  - Options: "openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst/edit"

- **`images`** (`array[string]`, _required_):

  - Min items: 1
  - Max items: 16

- **`mask`** (`string`, _optional_):
  Optional mask marking the region to edit. A URL, Base64 data, or an asset reference (asset://<ASSET_ID>). Transparent pixels mark the area the model should replace; it must match the first source image's dimensions.

  Text description of the desired image. Up to 32000 characters.
  - Default: `"Arrange these products into a lovely gift basket on a marble counter."`

- **`quality`** (`string`, _optional_):
  Rendering quality tier. gpt-image-2.5 adds xhigh and max on top of low/medium/high. Higher tiers cost more per image.

### GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst Edit

GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst is OpenAI's upgraded GPT Image generation model, reached through the OpenAI Images API. Generation is asynchronous: submit the request, then poll for the final image URL.

#### Highlights

- **Up to 16 reference images** in a single request, with an optional `mask`.
- **Five quality tiers**: `low`, `medium`, `high`, plus `xhigh` and `max`, which are new in gpt-image-2.5.
- **Arbitrary resolutions** up to 3840x2160, and fully supported transparent backgrounds.
- **Long prompts**: up to 32000 characters.

#### Parameters

| Parameter | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `model` | Yes | `openai/gpt-image-2.5-sunburst/edit` |
| `images` | Yes | Up to 16 source images. Each entry is a URL, Base64 data, or an asset reference (`asset://<ASSET_ID>`). |
| `mask` | No | Optional mask marking the region to edit, in the same formats as `images`. Transparent pixels mark the area the model should replace; it must match the first source image's dimensions. |
| `prompt` | Yes | Instruction describing the desired edit. Up to 32000 characters. |
| `quality` | No | Rendering tier: `low`, `medium`, `high`, `xhigh`, `max`. Defaults to `medium`. `xhigh` and `max` are new in gpt-image-2.5. |
| `size` | No | Output size as `WIDTHxHEIGHT` (for example `1536x864`) or `auto`. Defaults to `1024x1024`. The only control over output dimensions. |
| `background` | No | `auto`, `opaque`, or `transparent`. `transparent` forces a `png` or `webp` output format. |
| `output_format` | No | `png`, `jpeg`, or `webp`. Defaults to `png`. |
| `n` | No | Number of images to generate, 1 to 10. Defaults to 1. Each image is billed separately. |
